What is BIM?
Building Information Modeling or BIM allows specific information to be associated with 3D modeled elements. This permits material types, finishes and properties of elements to be integrated.
The 3D model also assists with troubleshooting of overlapping or clashing of modeled elements and utilities which is often missed in 2D plans. This creates a more efficient project development process and diminishes changes when construction is already underway.
